I have had a fascination with aviation for a very long time starting with Airfix models and up to Ultra-Light and Paramotor flying. I have built and flown RC model aircraft and drones and still have a collection of flying wings and a 2m Bixler 3 that is equipped with an Ardu-Pilot system for fully assisted and autonomous flying. My flying wing is setup for FPV flying and is way more fun to fly than the drones with much better range and longer flight times. FPV on drones is all analogue and I have always found my reflexes for this are not good enough for serious stunts and close proximity flying but I do enjoy building them. I have built 200mm quads and tri-copters as well as a DJI F550 Hexi copter that weighs in at over 2kg! It’s a great camera tool but today the DJI mini would be a better and cheaper way to go with much more features. New legislation has seen me pull back from the hobby in the last years so nothing new for a while but I still have the planes and drones ready for that occasional flight or for checking on my gutters! I started down the Paramotor rabbit hole around my 50th birthday. I currently have a Scout and a Paraject V3 paramotor and BGD wings, a Wasp and a Luna 2. The wasp is great, super light and easy to inflate and fly but in the last year I wanted something quicker so I bought a 2nd wing, the Luna 2, and it is so much quicker and more agile!
